Folders Feature

Hey,

Just a quick idea (if not already doable). What about the possibility of creating folders within the databases? It'll aid in keeping the file databases organized.

Sub-Structure

- Folder Name
- Folder Size
- Folder File Count

Hello hungman, thanks for your idea.

When I thought about developing FileDB, I always imagined use relational database together. This is because, in the relational database such task is simple to implement, like complex structures and services (search in a directory, search by file name).
The FileDB has a simple structure, capable of storing only the data file and its reference (name and GUID generated). The relational database must maintain this  GUID reference. The biggest advantage using FileDB its performance with storing and searching large amounts of files and large files. Relational databases that do not.
I have thought some new features for next version:
- Data encryption (using RSA algorithm)
- Data Compression
- Maximum size of database
- More parameters to create personalized data file (like PageSize)

Best regards,

Hey,

That's ok. Will be looking forward to the new features. :)

Thanks.
